Election protection work includes nonpartisan poll challenging (voter advocate), being a poll worker, and hosting educational presentations. (Open to all, but prioritize our targeted cities: Benton Harbor, Buena Vista Township, Flint, Grand Rapids, Muskegon Heights, Oak Park, Pontiac, Saginaw, Warren, or Ypsilanti.) 

Information & Registration

Volunteers will analyze voter turnout in our election protection cities by precinct and identify the best means of voter outreach (local radio stations where we can promote voting options, strategically placed billboards, canvassing expanding our resources into additional languages, events, etc.) Individuals would research and identify precincts at risk of voter intimidation or election interference, including, but not limited to: ICE agents, DOJ poll monitors, bad faith actors, etc., and would rally volunteers to monitor these polling locations as election protection advocates. (Open to all.)

Volunteers will reach out to community organizations within our targeted cities to determine opportunities for collaboration on election protection, gather input on where to focus voter contact and coordinate rapid response efforts during early voting and Election Day, including poll challenger and poll watcher recruitment. (Available for residents of Benton Harbor, Buena Vista Township, Flint, Grand Rapids, Muskegon Heights, Oak Park, Pontiac, Saginaw, Warren, or Ypsilanti.

Volunteers who can be on call to show up to polling locations on Election Day to create a safe and joyous environment for voters! (Available for residents of Benton Harbor, Buena Vista Township, Flint, Grand Rapids, Muskegon Heights, Oak Park, Pontiac, Saginaw, Warren, or Ypsilanti.)
